| Platte Ridge Farm is a family farm located on 154 scenic acres along the Platte River in Central Minnesota. Along with breeding and exhibiting Classic and Foundation Shetland ponies, we raise corn and alfalfa plus pasture non-lactating Holstein cows and springer heifers from the Tembreull Family dairy. |

| Our Classic and Foundation Shetland ponies are raised with an eye to quality, not quantity. Our goal at Platte Ridge Farm is to raise ponies that are just as at home with children as they are in the show ring. Pictured at right are Kyla and Abrielle Tembreull hugging one of their favorite ponies, Classic Halter Hall of Fame gelding Royal Beau . Platte Ridge Farm maintains a small breeding herd which consists of 4 stallions and approximately 15 broodmares. Two of our stallions and one of our broodmares are owned in partnership with Bellevue Farm in Underwood, Iowa. All of our stallions and the majority of our broodmares are Foundation Certified with the American Shetland Pony Club. Bloodlines found in the Platte Ridge Farm breeding herd include Royal, VB, Cody, Lou-Ed, Hillswicke, J-J, and Masters. Our ponies range in color from pinto to solid, roan to dun, and nearly every color in between. |
