Vegas is the last daughter of H.V. "King of All" and we are very pleased to have her as part of our herd. Vegas is the only Lou-Ed mare that we've owned with a show record from her youth. She was shown in halter and as part of Rhapsody Sheltands "Herd" entry when the Classic Congress was held in Mason City, Iowa. Vegas had a filly sired by Willowlawn's Mr. Unique in 2008 and a colt sired by Unique in 2009.
Hope of Valhalla's Foaled: 5/31/02 Color: Flaxen Chestnut Reg: ASPC 151789A - Foundation Certified Sire: Kahle's Fortune and Fame Dam: Scotch Pride's Blaze of Gooselanding Height: 43 inches
Hope is a lovely flaxen chestnut minimal Splash White mare with one blue eye and one hazel eye. She joined the Platte Ridge herd in 2004 and fast became a favorite. Hope has beautiful movement and she loves to show it off out in the pasture. She is one of those ponies that watches everything that goes on around her and is incredibly curious.
We were very priviledged in 2005 to be able to breed Hope to the great senior herdsire of Royal Pony Farm - Royal Red Viking. Hope foaled a beautiful colt in 2006 that we have retained as a future herdsire Her 2007 filly sired by Unique was exported to Germany. In 2008 Hope produced a beautiful black pinto filly sired by Wauk-A-Way Brave.

Red Rock Tomorrow's KL Sharp Cookie Foaled: 5/5/96 Color: Seal Brown Tobiano Reg: ASPC 144324A Sire: Red Rock Tomorrow's Kid Lee Dam: Red Rock Sharp Cookie Height: 45.5 inches
I do believe that dreams come true, and sometimes they are dreams you didn't even know you had until the moment they are fulfilled. Sharp Cookie is one of those dreams. She is the dam of champion after champion and was the rock solid base of the Oneka Shetland program for 10 years. She comes to Platte Ridge in foal for 2010 to J-J's Painted War Chant Kid, a legendary sire of champions and champion producers. She will be bred to Unique for 2011.
Saying "Thank You" to Don Rudeen just doesn't seem a powerful enough sentiment to express how honored and privileged we feel about the opportunity to add Sharp Cookie to our breeding program. She is truly one in a million and so is Don!
Red Rock Tomorrow's KL Jane Foaled: 5/7/96 Color: Seal Brown Tobiano Reg: ASPC 144326A Sire: Red Rock Tomorrow's Kid Lee Dam: Red Rock Bullseye's Janice Height: 42.5 inches
We added KL Jane to the herd in early 2009. She has suffered a hip injury and has had some difficulty carrying to term the last few years unless bred to a stallion who produces small foals. She is exposed to Royal Bold Gold for 2010 but not yet confirmed in foal - we have our fingers crossed that she is and that the small size of Bold foals makes carrying full term easier on her. She is an exceptionally pretty mare who passes on her beautiful head, neck and topline to her foals. Watch for photos soon!
